Scenes from the Ghetto, 2014

This exhibition gathers together a selection of the many photographs taken during the Second World War in the Jewish ghettos established by the Nazis in Eastern Europe. The origins of these photographs are very diverse. They come from the Nazi propaganda units, from german soldiers or from Jewish photographers acting at the peril of their lives. The gaze of each photographer is not always very obvious. The exhibition, based on historical and geographical facts gives an opportunity to a better reading of those pictures.
